Is there a way to "permanently" set the sort listings especially in Latest Breaking News?

there are two options, latest reply and start time. for LBN I prefer to sort by start time. not a big deal, but if I read a thread and go back to the main page via the header or from the bottom of a longer thread it reverts to the latest reply sort. I have to hit the back button or click the sort button for start time again.

1. That'd be nice

In the mobile format, sorting isn't even an option. I have to switch to the desktop view, change the sort order, then revert to mobile. It stays sorted as long as I use only the "back" function; else it resets, even if I just use another nav tool (eg, breadcrumbs) to get back to the same forum.

As much as I liked the novelty of DU4 at first (I only use mobile devices), I'm finding that I have to invoke the desktop view really often; and on a phone, that view requires constant zooming in and out.

2. If you want to sort by start time on mobile

Unfortunately there's obviously not room to include all the columns on mobile, but if you want to sort a forum by Start Time there's a workaround which may be quicker than switching to desktop view. Flip your phone to the horizontal position and you will see some additional columns drop in -- Start Time is one of them. If you select it and flip your phone back to vertical, the forum will stay sorted by Start time (at least until the next page load).

3. It's technically doable

although we have some concerns. It's something we could potentially reconsider though. I can't promise we'll change it, but I'll chat with Elad about it again.

it seems to be mostly LBN that bugs me, most of the rest of the time latest reply is actually preferable. and it isn't a huge deal, was mostly checking to see if I was just missing a setting somewhere. LOL
