Question about the Spell Check

I am just coming back to DU and I love the feature.

It really helps me because I have a vision problem.

That said, I get frustrated sometimes because the Spell Check takes so long that I almost want to give up. Other times it is fast.
Is that because lots of posters are using the Spell Check at the same time?

I was frustrated one day and wanted to ask if there could be a tiny little "vision" icon beside the posters user name if they requested it.

That way, the other posters don't get upset because a word is not spelled correctly --

1. Don't know about a vision icon...

but you could always drop something into your signature line, to let other DUers know.

Remember that sig line images should be no higher than 100 pixels, or they'll get cut off

Edit: I'd be happy to do an image for you, if you knew what you wanted.

I thought I had to wait a while to have the photo of my choice on the post -- right?

Then you are talking about the faint words under the posts ~ right?

3. Yes. The faint words under the post is the signature line.

4. Yup. You can put text, or a link to a picture in the sigline...

You need to host an image somewhere online - photobucket is one of many free photo hosting sites - and then put a link to the address of the picture in your sig line. That's what I've got with my "Lighten up, Francis" picture.

Edit: and no, you don't have to wait. Just click on "My Profile" in the top right coner. At the very bottom is "Signature Line". You can edit it to say what you want, or add a link.

5. I don't think there would be a particular reason why spellcheck is sometimes slow.

I suspect it's just random internet traffic or server traffic or something like that.
