This puts it all in context.

The world is PRETTY!

Today I ordered a yellow azalea and a lavender weeping redbud for my garden! YAY!

flower, but she did so much making sure they were seeded in public places. I adore her and her work!

I have a large field next to my house that are full of them. They are just now blooming! I need to take my dogs over for photos!

They've come up faithfully since then. I ordered a lot of seeds online from the Wildseed Farm in Fredericksburg at the time; bluebonnets, Texas paintbrush, phlox, Texas primrose, wine cups and a variety of other Texas wildflowers. Some of the annuals like the corn poppies and the phlox I'll have to reorder again since the drought has taken a toll on them.

I also loved traveling and seeing what Lady Bird Johnson did where once it was only grass between highways. Too bad it doesn't last a long time...

I've never seen a blue bonnet.

We currently have swaths of grape hyacinth. A few years ago I purchased a miniature vase & brought some in the house. For the first time I noticed that they are like little upside down bells, rimmed in white. So tiny, so amazing. The bees love them.

I would love to see that photo in real life. I cannot imagine.

Let's see, work didn't suck, I was able to provide comfort and hope to my patients, came home and it ended up being fun and games for hubby and me in the hottub-- lots of laughter, among other activities. Then we cooked a quick dinner together, now he's watching his TV in the front room and I'm laying in bed with my iPad, contemplating another book. Bought "Sandman Overture" part two-- it's a graphic novel. I love the Sandman series.

I'm partial to rivers and sunsets

It was so windy here that our power went out. We went out for a late lunch and I let my 12 year old drive the car up the driveway when we came home. I checked the house to make sure no witches' feet were sticking out from under it.

We had a good conversation. He is really enthralled with dogwood trees. I taught him how to "read" a person's car by the bumper stickers. He got pretty good at it. I sense a new game for our next road trip.

When we got home, the power was back on.

You'll probably have better luck seeing them in the middle section of the state though since East Texas has pine trees and West Texas is more arid.

Great day on our little town's ski hill - snow was divine!

Just hubby and me - a little hot tub, leftover steak (from my birthday yesterday) and carrot cake made by our college-age daughter who went back after Spring break yesterday.

And a little "Call the Midwife" this evening. PBS.

I'm a simple girl, and simply happy tonight!
