Do you find Mother-Son Date Knight to be as creepy as the Father-Daughter purity balls?

I saw this thread today and while I agree that it's weird in the extreme, I don't think it approaches the total creepiness of the purity balls - at least the sons aren't pledging to guard their mother's virginity, or something.

If it has anything to do with the son singing a pledge of ownership of his virginity to his mom, for her to give to another woman when he gets married, then yeah just as creepy.
