They refused to do any paid or domestic work, including childcare. An estimated 25 000 women - a tenth of the entire population of Iceland - gathered for a rally in the capital, Rekjavik.

Iceland has been called the most feminist country in the world.

(7,237 posts)I have an issue with Iceland's insistence on having a list of approved girl names and approved boy names.
(But then, anything that reenforces gender as a strictly binary thing that is undeniably connected to sex organs, pisses me off.)
