We're not even in primary season and the right is spewing misogynist venom against Secretary Clinton. If you can't show a strong woman to be wrong or incompetent, accuse her of being a shrew.

(110,159 posts)to see what was said. once you heard it, it was clear it was sexist and reason for eye roll. i have too many men tell me, just a joke. not offensive. not sexist.
we hear this bullshit all our lives. we arent laughing. just the men. chuckle, chuckle, wink and a jab in the ribs.
pretty damn clear.
i really do not think hillary is running, though. just putting it out. i know others are talking about it.

(110,159 posts)actually, you know what that OP did for me. hearing the realities of a month of shit....
it made me understand more what the general was saying, leaving women out of combat puts them in more danger. women in the middle of that shit and lack of hygiene along with men totally makes more sense in reducing sexual assault. psychologically, i can see the respect factor and one and the same, as a group, as they all go thru it.
Gen. Martin Dempsey is chairman of the Joint Chiefs. He said Thursday the assault problem is due partly to the militarys separate classes of personnel male warriors versus the rest of the force, including women.
Dempsey says the sexual assault problem is more complicated than that, but he indicates the disparity between the roles of men and women in the military has created a psychology that lends itself to disrespect for women.
Treating the genders equally, he says, is more likely to lead people to treat each other equally.

(110,159 posts)though we do not get everything we want, obama has done well and will continue on the right path. she will be the same, i believe. would be easy to walk into. she would be an easy win too, i think. biden is there also. how old is he? he is 70. that would put him at 74. 80 after 2nd term. doable.
but we have so many dems....
edit... i would go hillary. dont know if i would do biden for pres. well, i would if he is what is up. totally
