Why is the oppression said to be from "institutions"?

For example, I think that there can be bigotry against people who have autism spectrum disorders without any need for an institutional framework to motivate the bigotry.

Of course, sometimes there are institutions that play a role. For example, where there is one majority religion, some of its institutions might be used to foment religious bigotry against minority religions.

Is religious bigotry a topic that is relevant to this group?

Autism spectrum disorders may play a role in how some people communicate. Are attempts to marginalize people because of their style of communication an example of a problem that could be discussed in this group?

its institutional oppressions, because its not just individual people within the system but the system as a single unit ignoring issues based on races/gender etc.

i think ability/disability is definitely within the conversations about feminism and diversity, i just think its focus has to be from a feminists perspective. how autism affects the life of women and limits them is in my opinion a very interesting subject to talk about here
