1. I can't understand how these draconian, cruel, anti-sovereignty, Austerity Policies

are still in effect. I know they work for greedy bankers, but they are killing human beings and turning first world countries into third world countries.

It is heartbreaking. Ireland, over 200,000 children now living in poverty? Ireland only has a population of about 3 million. This is criminal.

I am happy to see the people of all these countries now uniting. That's what is needed as they crush protesters in each country as soon as they appear on the streets.

Is this strike going to happen across Europe? I hope so. I also hope that in the near future third world countries will join in these protests so the greedy Corps have nowhere to go to find cheap labor anymore.

2. Seems like some countries will have bigger strikes, and others smaller solidarity demonstrations

On November 14th there will be general strikes in Spain, Portugal, Greece, Italy, Cyprus and Malta. These strikes are a response to the unprecedented attacks on working people that are taking place across the continent.
The ETUC [European Trade Union Confederation] is calling for solidarity action, including ‘strikes, demonstrations, rallies and other actions in support. Solidarity actions are being taken in Germany, France, Belgium and Scandinavia

Here in Britain there will be a series of protests and rallies – see below. If you are organising one in your area please email [e-mail] so we can add it to the list.

In London the Coalition of Resistance with others is organising a solidarity demonstration assembling outside the European Commission, which will be followed by a rally where we will be showing footage of the strikes and protests on the day at the Emmanuel Centre, Marsham St. UNITE, PCS, Greek Solidarity Campaign and PIIGS are involved – and the TUC have tweeted support....

3. Thanks. That's pretty significant for a start. Hopefully it will become the norm until they

get the message. They've had decades to destroy people's lives, first in the Third World, now they've run out of Third World countries to destroy and have moved to the First World.

Hopefully that will be their Waterloo.

It is obvious that the first target of these Austerity programs are Social Programs. They simply hate to see money being spent on people when it could be going to the Big Wall Street Casino making money for them.

I am glad people are rising up against them. Strikes work. Since they still need the services of the working class it is a powerful weapon to use against them.

4. Its amazing,

the amount of footage that you can find on you tube, RT and Al Jazeera with regard to both the peaceful marches and violent clashes, involving 10's of thousands of people, and it doesn't make the news here.

Even closer to home, the student protests in Quebec were always under-reported, and mis-characterized (like OWS) in English language media, and we seldom hear or see the plight of South Americans fighting for land and governance rights or against corruption and austerity.

If everyday people here became informed how other parts of the world react to injustice; then I think the media, pundits and politicians would have a much more difficult time trying to spin the 'fiscal cliff' narrative as something akin to eating peas.
