New SCOTUS ruling

...allowing for the strip search of people arrested for minor infractions such as trafffic violations, etc. Seems to me to be aimed squarely at Occupy just in time for spring, along with other anti 1st and 4th amendment rulings/legislation. Suprised this hasn't been discussed yet in this goup.

1. This is clearly sexual intimidation to make people think twice about being uppity.

I get the feeling it could somehow backfire eventually though, if used excessively on otherwise innocent people. As awful as things like prison rape are, a good segment of the population has an 'oh well, they deserved attitude', but those stinking freaky hippies/hipsters that the same people don't like, are also their sons and daughters. It'll get uglier for sure, lets just hope the press, and citizen media make it known.

4. How minor?

Like, if they're giving you a speeding ticket? Maybe criminal speeding or getting caught with a small amount of marijuana in your vehicle? Won't they still need some kind of probable cause? Sorry, but this is the first I've heard of this one. Curious how severe it is.

5. in the court case

The guy got pulled over for a traffic violation. it turned out there was a bogus warrant for an old fine that he had actually payed. He wass jailed for 6 days and strip searched 3 different times before it got straightened out.
