We have CBS, ABC, PBS, and local Fox channels. However, no NBC reaches here.

And no cable TV either, or broadband Internet. I live in a media desert. In rural west Michigan, no less. I might as well live in Fallujah.

The best thing we have here is a CO-OP electric company which always comes out quickly to solve outages. Then, there's all the unpaved roads here, always a problem when there's a foot of snow on them.

Thankfully I live on a schoolbus route and have a one room schoolhouse still doing its education thing two miles from my house. The guy plowing out that school plows out my driveway. He will plow me out tomorrow morning before I and the school kiddies wake.
