WTF? Bernie's not even listed, and these are career totals!

Hillary's fans continue to shout that Bernie is a tool of the NRA but this resource indicates he's never received a single dime from them. Ever. Some tool.

http://www.nracongress.com/all-nra-recipients.html

ALL CONGRESSIONAL NRA RECIPIENTS

*updated November 2015 to include declared incumbents, 2016 elections*

Listed below, alphabetically by state, are price tags for the members of Congress who receive NRA money.

NRA dollar amounts shown are CAREER totals to date as obtained from the OpenSecrets.org website.

Senate recipients are listed first, followed by House recipients. Additional information about recipients appearing below their NRA price tags includes if they represent themselves as "pro-life"; NRA grades, scores, or endorsements; if they've also received money from Gun Owners of America; their April 2013 vote on the Machin-Toomey Amendment which would have required background checks on for all gun sales at gun shows and for gun sales over the Internet; and, miscellaneous, albeit pertinent, items.

Good resource to keep track of the NRA tools in your state.

1. Never. The first time Bernie ran for Congress, the NRA was mad at the Republican, so

they did a mailing endorsing Bernie. That was it. That's the big relationship. The NRA has not endorsed him since, does not donate to him and has rated him F until recently, when they rated him D-. The NRA had rated Governor Dean A.

People need to realize that Vermont is a sparsely populated state where people hunt, often to eat, and not just for the hell of it.

2. What's really striking is how small the lifetime totals are

Even long time senators have received lifetime amounts about equal to a nicely-equipped Ford Fusion.

I like to think that Bernie's positions were based on pragmatism and reality, at least until he began running for national office and had to appeal to the base.

4. HRC's campaign knows they ain't got squat on Bernie so their grasping at straws

Honestly in the GE when the opponent starts listing all of HRC's Crony deals her negatives will sky rocket once again. The youth vote will set this one out completely turned off

The GOP depends on LESS voter turn out and exemplifying HRC' shady back room dealing will accomplish their goal

5. In 2005, Sanders voted for the Protection of Lawful Commerce in Arms Act

Clinton voted against it.

That is the source of the contrast that HRC is trying to draw between them on this issue (and O'Malley too for that matter).

I'm looking at an ad to join NRA right here on DU right now.

And they only have enough money to give me a free knife if I join.

Those have always had a problem showing ring wing BS where it is not wanted. I remember BartCop ranting on about it a couiple of times, and I've noticed it plenty.

They get pretty stupid. I've seen ads to donate to Ted Cruz.

I guess they have keywords that trigger ads, whether the page is positive or negative on the subject.

14. Years ago there were no adds on this website

But lots of us still contributed anyway. My post count was still in the low hundreds when i first contributed. The advertisement deal was kind of shock because before you wouldn't need to log in to just read with all that blinking crap trying to distract you. Those ads mostly are just rotten so i just log in to read and not to see the trash.
