2016 Postmortem
Related: About this forumI support Martin O'Malley (rant).. I supported his thinking about running
2 years ago.. I still support him today.
Is it an uphill battle?.. of course.. my Mother did not raise fools..
Having said that though...his insights into the environment, economoy, security issues and being a country true to its values we keep bragging about.. is important.
His voice needs to be heard.
And I really have no patience with those who think they are so privileged that they can tell us to move on.. or our candidate to step aside..
Thanks for reading.. and thank you to those who support our candidate being in this race, even if they support someone else.. thank you

(30,481 posts)Up until about two months ago he was my choice. I am excited about his future.
I have said it over and over again. We all win when O'Malley speaks and is heard.

My dream: His campaign platform is adopted as the Democratic Party Platform at the convention. Clinton then appoints him to head up the DNC. I really don't think a lot of people understand the amazing importance of the DNC and how difficult of a job it is. I believe O'Malley has the depth, energy, intelligence, and progressive values to begin to build the party after a long time of decline. We have actually been making progress with support in total numbers while losing more and more down-ticket seats. That is unacceptable and I think O'Malley has what it takes to make the two work together as they should.

(9,522 posts)I think he has a lot to offer, and I want him heard. I have been a Bernie fan for years and years, before he was a candidate for President, or I would be supporting MOM.
