Romney camp thinking of changing strategy

Nothing is going to help him its not there strategy its the CANDIDATE with all the millions of superpc money poring into these states BASHING the President that should tell you something.Allan Lichtman predicted the superpac money would not have an effect on the Presidential race because for the most part everybody knows who the President is http://www.politico.com/news/stories/0912/81280.html

the reason they have to lie is they would lose even more badly if more people knew their true motives.

Not that Romney has a conscience that gives a damn about honesty or honor

This ultimately is about character, and Romney has shown he does not have the quality of character that Americans want to see in this office.

Most Americans can't analyze specific policy positions, but they can detect sleaze, and they have figured out this guy is sleazy. If he had the capacity to be honest, he might have won, even with a plan that is counter to most Americans' interests.

But reflecting on the entire campaign, there isn't a single one of the main candidates that could pass the sleaze / creepiness test. Perry, Cain, Santorum, Bachmann, Gingrich, Paul? It truly is ironic that the two candidates who could have passed the character threshold (Pawlenty and Huntsman) were the first two kicked off Teabagger Island.

This is the truth: just last week a good friend of mine, who did a tour in Iraq and Afghanistan each, said to me, "Did you know that this week the CIA admitted there were never any weapons of mass destruction in Iraq, and they knew it?"

I held my tongue and did not say that yes, I knew it before he got out of high school. He was clearly pissed off, and was having a little bit of trouble rectifying his world view with the truth. Now, he wants payback, and I'm pretty sure he's gonna go for the Big O once I can convince him that he won't kill babies for fun.

That's what would happen if Romney told the truth even once, if he dared to damage the cherished illusion of the diehards out there. They would come out of the woodwork to vote against Romney. Mitt is quite literally in debt to the tune of hundreds of millions of dollars to people who would rather see him dead, first, and probably aren't above trying.

It's a practical impossibility, too. How can he possibly retract 533 documented lies in 30 weeks, with many of those lies contradicting previous untruths told? Who would believe him, anyway?

All that above ignores the most important part, which you pointed out, which is that Mitt's toxic personality probably would prevent him from ever even considering such a thing. Honor and honesty are for the little people, not Mitt.
