What time should I get in line to see the President?

He'll be here in Columbus tomorrow afternoon. I got 2 tickets and will be taking-my sorta foster daughter, with me for her first political event, besides going with me to vote. I got her moms' permission to miss school for this day. The gates open at 2, she is only 8, i'm kinda short, so I was thinking that we should get in line about 11:30 so we can be near the front. The camera is charging, and we are both excited. Any advice is gratefully received

We saw him in Colorado Springs a few weeks ago and the line was more than a mile long. Expect a 2-hour wait. Well worth the wait.

I have never gone anywhere were I had to wait in line with a child, but I would suspect that you might need to bring along 'stuff' to keep her entertained, whatever it is that kids like to do while standing in line: iPod, book to read or coloring book, sticker book, etc.

Maybe someone else here that has kids might have better suggestions.

Have a great day tomorrow

I got there over two hours early, and was still a long way from the beginning of the line....Took about two hours to get in. It was well worth the wait. This was my place in line, the metal detectors were in the white tent in the center of the street just beyond the green Dumptruck...

I got a pretty good spot, once I got inside....I used telephoto to get these closeups....I was about three rows back from the fence....
