(5,614 posts)It's sort of like a forest fire. MOM is a great candidate but poses no real threat to the DNC's favorite candidate. I like MOM but as an old timer out of NYC (Queens, not Brooklyn) its a lot easier for me to relate to a balding old Brooklyn jew from New England. For crying out loud, he sounds like he coulda been Molly Goldberg's husband.
Okay, I agree with and support just about everything Bernie says (that jet boondoggle is just about the only thing I don't like) whether its making pot legal, or college free or taxing the --ahem-- fuckers on Wall Street I'm 117% behind him.
He had me when he first said "billionaire class."
Maybe MOM can try again in 2020 if there's an opening.

(131,038 posts)I 'get' Sanders, including his values.
I appreciate more MO'M's experience, in achieving many results while governing a major state (where I live now.)
P.S., the 'jet boondoggle' is a lie.

(86,005 posts)...folks agreeing that's happened must realize O'Malley is virtually invisible to the majority of the voting public. That's what the ones knocking him for his low poll ratings refuse to acknowledge; reasoning, instead, that there's something unattractive to voters about O'M. That hasn't shown in polling (can't prove or disprove a negative which isn't poll tested), but his anonymity does show up in polling.

(131,038 posts)Obviously that op 'inspired' me to post this, and so far no one has responded to my question or even recognized the basic fact about MO'M's virtual invisibility. Nothing like 'democracy,' eh?

(86,005 posts)...which is an anathema to the point scorers.
This site has always been about sharing to me; more than any competition. That's caused hurt feelings on different sides of our political spectrum here, more than a few times. Hopefully we can get back to that sharing.

(9,865 posts)and Bernie both would be way ahead if they got media coverage. Would be a great boon to the majority of Americans. We're not allowed to hear their message or receive their analysis.
