But the Vermont Senator, who is attracting large crowds at campaign ralliesincluding 28,000 at a recent event in Portlandis less eager than OMalley to pursue a path that would put him at odds with the Democratic Party. He is highly unlikely to participate in a debate that does not include Clinton, and his campaign spokesman said Wednesday that the debates must include all candidates.

This may be a case where O'Malley and Sanders are saying the same thing at least publicly. Proving that Sanders has taken a different position privately is tougher. We only have yesterday's bombshell news article about the Sanders campaign disfunction.

As for the Sanders campaigns approach to the party committee, people briefed on the flap about the number of debates believe that Mr. Sanders has fed on outrage against the D.N.C. that was created by others, not his own team, in efforts to deal with the data issue. These people described Mr. Sanders team as decidedly less emphatic in private discussions about having more primary debates than they have been in public, realizing that debates are not his strength.
Mr. Briggs denied that claim. But in an interview on MSNBC on Tuesday morning, Martin OMalley, the low-polling Democrat who has pushed the hardest for more debates, seemed to confirm that Mr. Sanders had not been aggressively seeking to buck the party establishment.
I asked Senator Sanders to do more, said Mr. OMalley. Senator Sanders didnt want to do more debates either. He kind of liked where it is.

(12,769 posts)MOM claimed Bernie didn't want more debates. That was a lie. What he doesn't want in unsanctioned debates. Why is that so difficult for you to understand.
Let me simplify it for you?
Martin: Do you want a cookie?
Bernie: Yes.
Marin: Let's steal one?
Bernie: No.
Martin to the press: Bernie doesn't really want a cookie!

(626 posts)You mean the article with the headline that didn't come close to being supported by the content? THe content of which only a paragraph was related to the headline and the rest was heresay and innuendo? THe one that the Shrillaries post with an even MORE misleading title in a lame attempt to support the already shaky "journalism" in the article? THAT "Bombshell"????

(468 posts)was trying to lure Sanders into an unsanctioned debate so the DNC can just cancel rest of the debates because of the "if you participate in an unsanctioned debate we will ban you" rule. Since Sanders didn't bite O'Malley instead lies to try to make Sanders look bad. Thankfully the threatened ban was well publicized well before this event and everybody knows about it. All I see is more dishonest DNC bull.

Good to see O'Malley's true colors, though.

Supposed quibbling in the Sanders campaign?
It's become apparent that Bernie is rapidly closing the gap in Iowa. Clinton is staring at a 2008 redux with the possibility that Bernie could take Iowa and NH.
I knew we'd see some real mud slinging from the Clinton camp due to these realities, but seriously? This is all they've got? They aren't slinging mud. It's more like cotton candy.
I've never seen so many people working so hard to perpetuate such fluff.
Up next from the ruthless, bloodthirsty Sanders smear machine: "Former Sanders staffer reveals that Sander's clothes often had static cling!"
Dryergate! This will sink Bernie!
