DUs HRC club and I were never "cool with each other."

This infighting is not ocurring because of primary season. It has been here for years and years. In fact, I am goung to make a jump and say it truly isn't infighting at all.

and until there's some really bad people let go at the highest levels, the situation will not improve.

The "Democrats' Squabbles" is making the NYTimes Op Ed page--the only press the party gets.

One thing this infighting has done: it's given Bernie more column inches and video this week than he's had all year.

I will use them against my enemies...FOREVER!

Just kidding, hope you all have a joyous holiday season! I'm going on 15 yrs on this site. Not much I haven't seen or heard. It's a discussion board, but it does bring out the political passion of some, and I'm afraid some take it waaaaay too serious. We all have our opinions and we will never agree on 100% on anything. Make your point, be cordial, and enjoy the company of fellow democrats.
When I see someone saying they are going to take their toys and go home, I just shake my head and wonder why they don't realize we are all on the same side. Don't let your passion get the better of you.

Merry Christmas to all....HRC supporters, Bernie supporters, MOM supporters. We are one!

Many have already chosen them. Words have meaning and some can't be taken back.

Some things just stay in your mind. This incident happened over twenty years ago. I was the Director Of Publishing at an association management company and this guy was fired because he was lazy, habitually absent, and took advantage of the liberal atmosphere in the office. When he was let go he said "I hope we can part as friends." The owner said that would be impossible.

The owner's husband who was a prominent businessman with his own lighting business said in business you never know when you will need someone and it's not good to burn your bridges.

Some times folks do stuff they can't walk back.

That's life.

was hoping people at DU could disagree without the insults and vitriol and be respectful of others opinions. Call me naive.

They may unite and vote for the nominee in November, but the ill-will fostered during this primary season is unlikely to go away. Things were said that cannot be taken back.
