2 Clinton emails were 'top secret,' but one is no longer

The intelligence community is standing by its conclusion that two emails sent to former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton contained information classified "Top Secret" at the time it was sent, but is acknowledging that one of those messages can now be treated at a lower classification level, a U.S. official said Tuesday.

The State Department had disputed those classifications, prompting the intelligence agencies involved to take a second look at the issue.

The review resulted in one email being downgraded to the "Secret" level, based on changed circumstances since the message was sent, the official said. The other message is still considered "Top Secret," the official added.

The procedures for the handling of classified information within government is very clear; No classified information way be transmitted to or from an unclassified private server.

Hundreds of millions spent going after her. Fuck yes. If we read all of Sanders emails, and it's my understanding someone is sitting on one, would he come out as clean as she has? I personally want all of Sanders campaign emails released to the public in a show of transparency. What did he know and when did he know it. With current laws, I have a feeling we will see just that. I doubt he will hold up to the vetting Clinton has gone through.

Go Clinton!!!!

Millions spent and they end up with something inconsequential.

Not saying that this is not problematic. But EVERYONE, if subjected to this kind of scrutiny, will end up having a flaw.

The question is whether it is really worth the millions spent.

It's completely reasonable to expect a higher standard for those who are supposed to represent our nation... if she cannot maintain that standard, a standard which is expected of millions of government employees and service members, then she has absolutely no business running for POTUS.

Don't want her, or her CIA trolls anywhere near our White House.

11. Even assuming she received and didn't send those e-mails, she lied about it.

She also failed to report receiving classified documents. Hillary is smart... very smart. More than smart enough to know all documentation that hasn't been released through the public relations group in her former depart would be sensitive. Yet she chose to host her work e-mail at home anyway.

Your comment about malware is yet again a false equivalence. Your computer doesn't contain information that could contain sensitive files that could affect national security.

Hillary was SoS... she's expected to maintain a higher standard than you are. If she cannot maintain that standard, she has no business running for POTUS.
