Related: About this forumThe Presidental Race is "Tied"?
Have you heard this delusion statement from Republicans lately? They seem to be slipping it into various attacks on Obama, saying things like "Only 96,000 jobs created in August, how is this race still tied?". When is being down by 4 or 5 or 6 points and 100+ electoral votes equate a tie in this race? Is it total desperation or misinformation or delusion or all of the above that causes Republicans to see this race as being tied? Perhaps it is ego? Do they think even if Romney gets 45% of the vote, he will still be the winner because Republicans are just that awesome? On the one had I love to watch Republicans flail around like dying fish but on the other hand I just want to scream "GET YOUR HEAD OUT OF YOUR ASS FOR ONE FUCKING MINUTE!!!".
Maybe it is all hopeless and I should just sit back and watch the implosion. But as someone that is rational (at least sometimes) I just get the overwhelming urge to punch a wall after hearing the Republicans open their mouths.

(3,072 posts)The republicans would be celebrating in the streets right now. They would call it "Romney Revolution" and claim that God himself was handing them this overwhelming victory. It would be a once in a century mandate to totally transform America into their wet dream of everyone for themselves.
But since it is the other way around, it is merely a tie.
