If Mitt Romney were a less-contemptible cretin, I would feel sorry for him...

But he's not a less-contemptible cretin. He is simply the most disgraceful person to ever be nominated by a major political party, and yes, I'm including George W. Bush in that calculation. When this election is over, we should really have a national referendum to determine if Mitt Romney should be allowed to retain his U.S. citizenship.

Romney is an empty suit, as devoid of genuine ideas as he is of moral fiber, who will say anything and everything in an attempt to seize power. A man who has at least three position on any given subject, the Romney Campaign has been nothing more than an exercise in blind flailing for any issue that might expose a weakness in the Obama Administration.

Last night, his blind flailing hit a nerve. Clearly trying to recycle the "Obama Apology Tour" lie spread by the Republicans in 2009, Romney thought that he could simply repeat the tired talking point a score a few points. Did he stop for one moment to consider the Americans who had given their lives in the service of their country? Did he consider for one moment the potential blow-back in the region or the further danger he might cause for our diplomatic corps? Did he for one minute pause to wonder if capitalizing on the deaths of Americans would be considered unimaginably craven?

Probably not.

Recently there has been a theory floated that Mitt Romney might have a mild form of Asberger's Syndrome, the condition where an individual has significant difficult in social situations, characterized by an almost complete lack of empathy. The more I watch Willard Romney in what is becoming a very sad campaign, the more I think it just might be true.

That or he's the biggest douche bag to ever walk the face of the Earth.

implying that he has Asperger's is an insult to those with Asperger's.

And I really don't mean to insult otherwise decent people who suffer from Asbergers. It could be that he's a combination of both -- a genuinely nasty piece of work who ALSO is suffering from Asbergers.

W had emotions. Romney appears devoid of any emotional range. The picture of him smirking as he left the podium after his political attack on the President over the terrible events in the Middle East is absolutely sociopathic.

I agree. That photo is just chilling.

He's fucking elated that people are dead so he can advance his career.

But isn't that what he's always done? Thousands of laid-off employees....Three dead embassy personnel? No biggee.

Their fundamental definition of value is bipolar: the PRIVATE arbitrary ambiguity of coded 0s and 1s swapped very quickly back and forth between SECRET accounting processes by PRIVATELY owned computers in private banking cartels + "better dead than ___________________ " as long as someone else does the dying.

The most common thing I have heard about the illegal and immoral Invasion & Occupation of Iraq, ever since March 19, 2003, was, TTE, "It's a blessing that it's happening over there and not here."

These two positions add up to absolutely profound slavery, a.k.a. DEATH.

I just sent a very short, brief letter to the Los Angeles Times (letters@latimes.com). I said:

Mitt Romney's statement and stance on the Middle East events...disgraceful.

Disgraceful on all levels, as he appears to be attempting to "score" political points for his campaign, only.

Find your local papers, etc....and tell them what you think of Mittens and his stance.

Mitt doesn't even know he's a douche. I think Dick Cheney, in his dark and shriveled heart, knows he's an asshole. I think Mitch McConnell actually knows when he's being a dick. Even Ann Coutler knows she's a shrill piece of work. But Mitt? Not so much. I'm sure he is hearing the media response and the lack of support from his fellow republicans, and he's wondering "wha'? what did I do?"

He is so far up his own ass, he hasn't a clue.
And that's very scary.

The thing I became convinced of today is that Mitt Romney really is a sociopath. He really is.
The smirk told me everything I needed to know.

It doesn't get smaller than that, or more depraved.
