Related: About this forumSpox: ‘Hell no,’ Clinton won’t apologize to Trump for ISIS remark
http://www.msnbc.com/msnbc/spox-hell-no-clinton-wont-apologize-trump-isis-remarkA spokesman for Hillary Clinton says hell, no, the candidate wont apologize to Donald Trump for calling him ISIS best recruiter.
Hillary Clinton will not be apologizing to Donald Trump for correctly pointing out how his hateful rhetoric only helps ISIS recruit more terrorists, said spokesman Brian Fallon in a statement.
In Saturday nights Democratic debate, Clinton suggested that ISIS is showing videos of Donald Trump insulting Islam and Muslims in order to recruit more radical jihadists.
Politifact rated the claim false, saying that - while experts say that ISIS could be circulating Trumps sentiments to bolster their arguments that the West is at war with Islam - theres no evidence to date that his rhetoric has been used in recruiting videos.
On the TODAY Show on Monday, Trump said that he would demand an apology from Clinton for her remark.
She lies about emails, she lies about Whitewater, she lies about everything. She will be a disaster about everything as president of the United States, he said.
Asked on Meet the Press on Sunday whether or not he would change his language if his words were being used in ISIS recruitment videos, Trump offered a firm no.
No, because I think that my words represent toughness and strength. Hillarys not strong, Hillarys weak, frankly, he said.

(11 posts)So Clinton is right, saying that all it takes to turn a member of the great religion of peace into a terrorist is to show them a video of Trump?

(7,021 posts)today. Heard the exact same words from him today. There are many videos showing Trump bashing Muslims available to show them. certainly it takes more than that to recruit people to ISIS.

I think when the charade is finally over, the Don is going to scold the vicious racist pigs that are his biggest supporters.
He isnt doing this because he is a noble person, he is doing it because he does not want the teaparty morons to run the country and he wants Hillary to win.

Ever ask yourself how can such vile and disgusting human beings like him get so rich?
The answer is our system is designed to reward lying , thieving assholes.
The teaparty, while not intending to do so, would likely destroy everything, economy, environment, everything.
So for selfish reasons and ONLY selfish reasons, he wants a status quo politician which even includes Bernie to some effect.
While Bernie would challenge the status quo more than Hillary on some stuff, Bernie isnt a moron who is hell bent on his way or the highway like the teaparty is, nor is Hillary.
NCTraveler
(30,481 posts)And showing the tea party for who they are is pretty noble in my book. And I think the economy would suffer the same destruction under Sanders or the tea party.
randys1
(16,286 posts)How would the economy be equally hurt by someone who wants to reign in Wall STreet and someone who wants Wall Street to make ALL the rules, or do just the opposite?
How is taking for profit education and health insurance out of the works harmful and why does it work everywhere else?

(16,286 posts)the rule here at DU.
So, now that you have said that, do you really believe he would do what you said with our economy and if so, how?

(30,481 posts)A Sanders WH would accomplish one thing in my opinion, and it would be a big one thing. I think he would place one of the most aggressive AG's we have ever seen. His AG would focus like a laser on Wall Street and the Banking System. Meanwhile Sanders would fail to get anything of substance from congress to match. That would create an all out war and with Sanders in charge WS would win it. Sanders is a career politician and he has no network and very few friends. Not getting anything out of congress to go along with his AG would be disastrous.
I also feel he would have his AG so focused on economic issues that social justice would be sidelined. I don't think Sanders thought process if that much different than many of his supporters. They truly believe that equality will be completely cared for by way of economics. I don't think he would do anything to help the aggressive municipalities actions toward minorities at all. Simply one focus. Economics. You say what Sanders wants knowing the things you mention require purse strings. Even his own colleagues aren't big on him but you seem to think they will change tune. Not a chance.
Lastly, I would vote for Sanders in a heartbeat over anyone on the other side. If he wins the Primary you won't hear me say a negative word about him. Keeping republicans out of the WH is that important to me. While I think both would blow up the economy, Sanders would at least do so with acceptable rhetoric. I think rhetoric is one of the most underrated tools we discuss.
I could elaborate much more but I don't think DU is currently a very progressive or educational place. This is time spent whistling in the wind. It will get back to positive conversation after the primary.
I know you vehemently disagree with me and I'm ok with that. As are you. I have always appreciated your posts even with our occasional comments.

(16,286 posts)I dont completely agree either but what you are saying makes more sense to me now.

(30,481 posts)That I think Sanders does care deeply about equality. I read my post a couple of times and see where is could be read differently. I think he cares to the point it burdens him. That's a good man.

I will continue to as well. Both the negative and positive. You can also find well over a hundred posts of mine that are negative about Clinton. There are no unicorns running.

I'm not sure he wants Hillary to win, or Sanders to win, or anyone else to win, because in Trump's world, they're losers. Trump only likes winners.

Since her prediction was spot on, I don't think Hillary needs to apologize to Trump. I think Trump needs to apologize to America.
