Bernie Sanders passes Obama fundraising mark

Bernie Sanders has gotten more individual donations than any other presidential candidate ever through the campaign's off-year — topping President Barack Obama's mark of 2,209,636 donations through Dec. 31, 2011 — his team announced following Saturday night's Democratic debate.

Sanders passed Obama's re-election total during the debate, his communications director Michael Briggs said.

The news comes just one day after the campaign raised over $1 million amid a major blowup over its role in accessing Hillary Clinton's campaign data, and just two days after the campaign said it brought in $3 million at the beginning of the week. While it has trailed Clinton's effort in fundraising overall, it has shown major muscle in the online and small-dollar fundraising department.
Sanders' average donation during the debate was under $25, said Briggs.

And we got actions from him that are commensurate with larger donations. Health Insurance companies instead of Single Payer. The TPP instead of comfortable picket line shoes. NO prosecution of Wall St. criminals. I think I'd rather crow about twenty-five dollar donations, than 2500 dollar favor buying.

It is very transparent through DNC /HRC that they do not want change.

They can blunder and bluster, they can control corporate media, but there are more people than the 1% and the 1% enablers. No alerts, no hides, no tombstoning can change that.

and I think that I'm getting out of DU. It's out in the open, now, what the sick little game around here is, and I cannot justify any effort that continues the farce. My friends, the people who earned my respect and affection, are moving on, and I think that this collapse through corruption of the product has been coming on for a long time.

Whether I can find a congenial and supportive network is debatable, but I'm not willing to take abuse, even for free.
