How the Democratic and Republican debates compared

The News coverage of the Democratic Debate compared to the GOP's debate seems lite to me. The media seems to not discuss the positions on issues each candidate takes but instead focuses on circumstantial issues like who looked like what. Just reading the newspapers I would not know in depth what questions were asked toward the Democratic candidates and how they answered those questions. A very brief and lite coverage of Democratic debate overall.

They are basically on the same page on most issues, whereas the Republicans are all over the map.
