(19,460 posts)Hillary planted about 5 people on Bernie's campaign staff, then she waited until the firewall went down and sent them a secret email to tell them that they should steal her data. Then she leaked it to the media and now poor Bernie looks like a cheater when his staff really didn't do anything wrong at all.

(11,366 posts)However, her lackeys did: the vendor should have been put on probation the first time the breach was reported and fired after this latest breach.

(19,460 posts)Nothing was reported to this vendor.

(82,383 posts)Does the DNC influence voters that much?
Why would the DNC care about anything other than winning the election? So naturally they would notice Hillary is ahead in the polls. The DNC has no motive to work against Bernie.

That doesn't sound to me like someone who makes terribly good decisions, either strategically or ethically.

(80,708 posts)Her judgment has been consistently shitty and out of touch; witness her ham-fisted attacks on medical marijuana.

(62,276 posts)And in the end she is an amateur. It's shocking how she got to be the head of the DNC.
Regarding that medical marijuana thing, the cute part is how she basically elicited a bribe to change her position (but reversed when it came out). She's unhinged and needs to be ousted.

(6,960 posts)This controversy has brought all the DWS, DNC collusion with the Clinton campaign to the surface.
That is what this is now all about.
DWS was a 2008 co-chair of the unsuccessful Clinton campaign -- how stupid was that not for her to resign the day Mrs. Clinton announced her candidacy this year. (Why didn't Hillary tell DWS that the right thing to do was leave the DNC?)
This kerfuffle was bound to happen eventually, now it has ... and it isn't making Hillary, Wasserman Schultz or the DNC look very good.
DWS needs to resign NOW.

(44,577 posts)Since she helped run Hillary's previous presidential election campaign, it's a potential conflict of interest for her to be running the DNC now because for all we know, she might be also helping Hillary run her current presidential campaign.
One of the DNC's job duties is to guard against even the possibility of the appearance of impropriety in the election process. Because it can legitimately be asked if any move Wasserman Schultz makes is actually stealth support for Hillary, she holds an office that she is not qualified for and should step down.

(13,877 posts)It just seems that every time something comes around her, there's a questionable situation that does not help her Trustworthy rating. There is an old saying, that even the appearance of wrong should be avoided.
This doesn't hurt her with her supporters much, nor does it add to Bernie's, automatically. But the Independents think differently. And it's often the Indies who actually decide a winner...especially in close elections.
IDC what anyone says, DWS, the DNC and HRC are joined at the proverbial hip. Pretty sure the IT company has lost credibility...what with all of HRCs people on the payroll. Maybe Bernie and others should check in with California's real independent company.

Already, though she will take on the full role Jan. 20 2017.

(20,226 posts)wrong in regard to this matter - even Debbie Wasserman Shultz says that.
It's the DNC's tactics and their relationship with the Clinton campaign at issue.

Very short sighted from somebody who has been playing the game as long as Clinton has.

That is bullshit of course. But, it makes as much sense as your post.

(10,751 posts)...although she might have weighed in on DWS's draconian steps, she wasn't obliged to and I don't really blame her for staying out of it.
DWS's reaction of pulling access to the data from the Sanders campaign, could have harmed Clinton due to the very close relationship between DWS and Clinton -- so DWS's heavy-handedness might have reflected badly on Clinton because of that.
However, access to the data was restored promptly (due to aggressive action by the Sanders campaign), so that became less of an issue. Sanders and Clinton also defused it masterfully at the debate, for which they both deserve kudos.
I do hope there will be a thorough independent investigation of all data breaches since the campaigns started.
