(11,366 posts)A turning point was the TJX breach in 2006, which led to data-breach disclosure legislation and increased scrutiny of corporate data-handling practices, says Larry Wilson, information security lead in the University of Massachusetts Presidents Office. From then on, demand for security pros really started to accelerate."
Data from Boston-based labor analytics firm Burning Glass highlights the spike in demand: cybersecurity job postings grew 74% from 2007 to 2013, which is more than twice the growth rate of all IT jobs. The labor pool has yet to catch up. U.S. employers posted 50,000 jobs requesting CISSP credentials in 2013, a year in which the population of CISSP holders numbered 60,000, Burning Glass said in its 2014 report.

I work in this community - all-be-it not as a security analyst, but in another position - and I can tell you the number of data security experts is very small and very close-nit. The company I work for and our competitors are constantly hiring professionals away from each other.
But, in response to the rest of your rubbish, who cares? Honestly, why do you care who supports Bernie? I would think growing the base would be important to the DNC. But, given that Debbie W-S still has a job after her poor performance in getting Democrats elected, maybe not.

(25,699 posts)This appears to be a shocking, even scandalous revelation for a few people here.

(12,689 posts)At the end of the day, primary voters still get to select who they want as the nominee. The process is still democratic.

(25,699 posts)But even absent such direct vocalization of the sentiment (It would poll poorly, obviously) it is the clearly-held belief of Clinton, her sycophants, and the goons "manning the streets" for her. The attitude of the organization being the "Clintoncratic Party" was on full display in 2008, and nothing has changed since.

(5,856 posts)the purpose of this post? If Democratic voters get to choose who best represents them, then why disallow newcomers?

(18,775 posts)Now they're licking their wounds and trying to figure out how to salvage this and still smear Senator Sanders. Like Rove going after Kerry's war record they're trying to go after Sander's reputation for integrity. The very thing where he's the strongest and Hillary is at her weakest.
It's so funny.

(10,751 posts)...Bernie isn't running under the Democrat Party banner.
Problem solved.
KingFlorez
(12,689 posts)He failed to win federal office until the NRA stepped in to send out mailers in his favor, because they wanted to get rid of a moderate Republican. Sanders has just about said he hates Democrats in not so many words, so it makes no sense why he is running in the Democratic primary.

(15,435 posts)to use that term? We've always been called THE DEMOCRATIC PARTY! Who's the Democrat now?? THAT'S what the Repubs started calling it... who side are YOU on????

(15,435 posts)They think saying DEMOCRAT Party is an insult, which is clearly what they intended it to be. THEY do it because they want to get under a REAL Democrats skin. I usually ignore it because I know when & how it started, but HERE?? BY A real Democrat?? Well, ya never know these days, do ya??
Tis sad indeed!
