2016 Postmortem
Related: About this forumThe war on Sanders officially started
Signs of provocative operations by the establishmentIt was a matter of time until the establishment open a war against Bernie Sanders. From across the US political spectrum it becomes more and more obvious that Sanders is the one that the establishment fears most.
The new civil war inside the Democratic party shows that the system wants to isolate Sanders as the most dangerous opponent of Hillary for the Democratic Party's nominee.

(4,822 posts)but i know the Bernie Sanders campaign stole Hillarys data and now they want to blame the victim. I know that. Theft is theft and blaming the victim is blaming the victim regardless of the technology.

(5,792 posts)On another thread there are some of Hillary's 2008 campaign literature pieces. They are posted to condemn Hillary for the way she opposed Obama. Then I wondered how is it Hillary has not done the equivalent to Bernie? I have yet to see any Hillary campaign literature attempting to "smear" Bernie.

(21,054 posts)Seems to me thatthe heavy handedness of the HRC Coronation Committee, aka the DNC, showed total fear of Bernie yesterday. I am betting that the internal numbers for HRC are not all that great and the inevitable coronation is merely nothing more than a fantasy.

(85,999 posts)...no one made the Sanders campaign access the data. It wasn't automatically available. Accessing it required a will and effort on the part of those who deliberately viewed and saved the data.
The 'establishment' isn't responsible for the Sanders campaign shooting themselves in the foot. This doesn't represent any 'revolution'. It's more of a regression into politics as usual.

(17,663 posts)maybe he shouldn't be getting to use the DNC system at all...his people are dishonest and frankly,
he is, too...because he says the same stuff over an over, knowing it's unrealistic and not offering any real
path to any solutions at all. Pied Piper a la Trump...
He is a career politician and he is loving the attention, because, in the end, it really is all about HIM.

(4 posts)I'm for Hillary and she probably wins the primary and loses to Trump due to too many democrats so bitter that they stay home.
Prepare for mass deportations, overturning of roe vs wade and the affordable care act. Trump will make America great for Trump.

(4 posts)The Stars having aligned for him. Split vote among 14 republicans. Bitter democratic primary will enough supporters of the candidate who doesn't win to stay home or vote non dem in protest.
Trump will have a lot of people to thank at his inaguuration.
Dems who refused to vote out of bitterness
BLM protesters who seem to hate white democrats far more than tea party republicans
Debbie Wasserman Schultz. I'm for Hillary but she is detrimental to the party.
Trump will then thank the poor conservative whites who are the heart of his campaign. They will still be poor in 2020 but Trump will convince them to blame democrats.
Trump's first order of business will be an executive order for a mass deportation.

(82,383 posts)there is a set of laws in place. Trump would quit within a month when he finds he is supposed to execute the law not make it and execute it on the spot. I'd watch for his VP pick.
However, Trump is too out-there for the average voters. He's only leading a large pack of Republicans. It's still even a minority of Republicans that support him.

(30,058 posts)Reaction Sanders has taken by firing the staff member he is not happy. Since he has agreed to the investigation it restores my faith in him, not so much the other member accounts which may still be working in his campaign. Claiming to be a victim is nit going to help his campaign. Either he sells himself or he fails.
