2016 Postmortem
Related: About this forumWow. In just 24 hours, Sanders has gotten the DNC/DWS to back off... a great victory!
If there was any doubt before, the public will now clearly see this as a heavy-handed attempt to shut down the Bernie Sanders campaign. Bernie is going to get a boost out of this....GREAT news to wake up to!

(27,815 posts)Bernie fires a valuable campaign employee for unethical wrongdoing - what a triumph!

(9,841 posts)I don't think they saw that coming, that they would have to cough up lots of info about their inaction over the past two months, why they did nothing to fix data security problems that the Bernie campaign warned them about.

When older generations plan stuff, they'd better start taking things like social media and the internet into account. Whether a fish stinks from the tail up or from the head down, it stinks. And the internet, esp. social media is going to fan that fragrance into a lot nostrils (all over the world) PDQ.

(27,815 posts)... how BS admitting that his trusted campaign worker had to be fired as a result of unethical behaviour is a PLUS for Bernie's campaign.
Or, in the alternative, explain why BS fired an employee for wrongdoing that never occurred, instead of taking his side and defending him against baseless accusations.
It's one or the other. Either BS admitted guilt on behalf of his campaign - or he hung someone out to dry, despite his innocence of any unethical behaviour.
So which is it?

(27,815 posts)... (thanks to John Lennon for a great word) at how BS's campaign engaging in unethical tactics is a "win" for Bernie.

(27,815 posts)Is BS's campaign guilty of unethical behaviour or not?
If not, then why did BS fire someone for engaging in unethical behaviour?

(45,251 posts)If you want to make a general inquiry that has nothing to do with anything in my post, maybe start an OP or something. In any event, don't pretend to be replying to me. As I explained earlier, your games grew tedious and tiresome to me quite some time ago this morning. Not anywhere near enough time has passed to make them amusing to me again. Based on my prior experience with your posts, for me, that takes months, maybe a year.

(18,048 posts)I haven't been on DU in some time, but I can pretty much guarantee that everyone who isn't a serious politico doesn't even care about this.
I'm not sure how you think his poll numbers would go up based on this?

(4,822 posts)I bet most of those people who signed petitions didn't even know the Bernie Sanders campaign stole Hillary's contact material. They were just following along with the mob.

(4,695 posts)Being contacted to help the 1% angers many, IMO. The 1% have ruined a lot of people in this country. This will backfire on the 1% strategy.
