Hillary Clinton is launching a Michigan Leadership Council to help win the states March 8 primary -- a group that includes more than 140 elected officials, such as current and former Detroit leaders like Mayor Mike Duggan.
Hillary Clinton is a proven leader committed to growing our middle class and creating opportunities that will allow all Americans to realize the American Dream, Duggan said in a statement. She is the right leader at the right time.
Clintons Michigan campaign will be led by senators Debbie Stabenow and Gary Peters, but will also involve Duggan and several others, the campaign said in a statement................

Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton is planning a campaign stop in Michigan on Jan. 12, ahead of the state's March 8 primary, according to sources.
The details aren't yet available, but knowledgeable sources confirmed the former U.S. Senator, secretary of state and first lady will be here stumping for votes. It will mark her second time in the Great Lakes state since announcing her candidacy. She was last here in July at a fund-raiser in Grosse Pointe.
