Here in the Northern states -- I live in Oregon -- we can get Liberal radio (not as much as I would like, of course) -- but how about the South?

If Southerners wanted to listen to Thom Hartmann, Amy Goodman, Stephanie Miller, Bill Press, Joe Madison, etc., is there an easy way to do it? For example, are there hamburger chains, etc., that play Thom Hartmann?

If not, they may want to do it as a selling point, and also to inform many Southerners that there are alternatives to the lies that are spread on Right Wing Radio. We shouldn't blame people for voting the way they do if we know that they have never heard good alternative arguments.

Maybe one can have a little stand-alone radio device called "Progressive Radio" that will wirelessly (or maybe with a usb cable) search one's computer and come up with the best of the progressive broadcasters.

I firmly believe that listening to Thom Hartmann (and others) will give listeners real ways to combat the lies spread about the progressive movement.

Any suggestions to increase progressive broadcasts in the Southern US?

Thanks!

For live streaming radio on Tune in or Stitcher. I keep WCPT out of Chicago on all the time. Local radio is inane here in Florida.

Several stations in NC carry them in places like Asheville and Chapel Hill. WCHL streams at chapelboro.com.

Things aren't great here, but probably better than you think.

But I think liberal radio (especially white liberal radio) is basically a hard sell in most of the south.
