... to other candidates as NBC needed to do with various candidate's SNL appearances.


Which reminds me of something I've wondered about. When a candidate appears on a show like Leno or Letterman, is the network required to GIVE "equal time" or is it enough to merely OFFER other candidates an opportunity to also appear? (In other words, could a candidate refuse to be on the show, and instead demand that a 5-minute ad be broadcast instead?)



(Yes, I know that Leno and Letterman have retired.)

were from self-described Sanders supporters saying they'll never watch the show again. I shook my head and rolled my eyes, but didn't bother to respond.
