He damn near praised him for being a great governor of Arkansas. He said he was his governor. JRLeft Sep 2012 #2

I remember the 90s VIVIDLY.

Every republican I knew then hated Clinton with a red hot rage. I was in my 20s, still kind of naive, and I just did not get it. I seriously did not understand how people hated him so much.

I went into the 2000s struck by how poorly the republican party and media treated Bill Clinton, and it was part of led me to become politically active.

What strikes me now is that I personally know of no republican who does not like Clinton. I talk politics with republicans now, and pretty much to a man and women they say "I like Clinton, I could handle him now." I have gone YEARS without a republican saying a bad thing about him.

They just blow with the AM radio wind, flat out.

And, I agree with the poster who noted that 10 years from now, there will be a D president that these people will find all kinds of contrived ways to hate like the good patriots they are, while most of them will say "Obama was OK, I could handle Obama now ..."

When all of the sudden Republican Hillary love-fest started during the 2008 I thought that they were just trying to drive a wedge between President Obama and her (and Bill) to drive down his votes, which is what I suspect that they are doing now. Their new tack seems to be trying to make President Obama out to be a "radical" Democrat far to the left of Bill Clinton (though, as I recall, they made him out to be a wild-eyed radical degenerate back in the day too). What was it that Rience Priebus said, "Obama isn't your Daddy's Democrat!"

It boggles the mind. They were breathless in anticipation for Clinton to backstab President Obama and it didn't happen- but they are still trying to convince people that Bill and Hillary are in the process of staging some kind of coup against that radical leftist Democrat Obama.

for having been named Hogan Gidley and therefore repeatedly stuffed in his locker and given wedgies throughout high school.
