I think that's the highest number Obama has had in Gallup in months.

Still showing only a +1 lead over Romney, but hopefully that will increase too.

The 49-45 is the Approval Rating, which is the best Obama has had in Gallup in months and is good news.

I was saying that we haven't seen it increase Gallup's Tracking Poll which is still frozen at +1. We're hoping it filters through in the next few days.

The head to head Romney v. Obama is 46-47, +1 for Obama.

The approval numbers are on a 3 day rolling average. The head to head numbers are on a 7 day rolling average, so the head to head numbers are slower to change. The approval numbers shifting so much gives some hope that a change in the head to head numbers is coming.

not the tracking poll lead which is 47-46% as of now. That is if I'm reading the thread correctly.

It was the only pollster (except Rasmussen) that was consistently showing low numbers for Obama throughout the Summer.

The fact that there has been an improvement in what was one of his worst pollsters should bode well for results from all the other pollsters too.
