They throw anything against the wall, no matter how vile, to see what sticks. They fail to realize that the results are the opposite. The baser the attack, the more they infuriate Hillary supporters and the harder they work to make sure that she becomes the nominee.

Ironically, I have nothing against Sanders, but some of his supporters are crass, rude and classless. I bet Sanders would disapprove of the vitriol posted here by his supporters.

As far as I know, because I never clicked on the link, the quote from MLK, Jr. was a correct quote, regardless of where it had been copied from. The idea that everyone who copies an MLK, Jr. quote from wikipedia can be smeared as a fascist was what I laughed at. So, yes, I rec'd an OP consisting entirely of something said by MLK, Jr. that I thought had come from wikipedia. Sue me.

On the other hand, a ratfucking website that is using a link to a Christmas song as its source for a story about Sanders is suspect on its face, without further investigation as to who owns or manages it. So, no the two situations are not at all comparable and should not be treated as comparable by any poster who is even half way honest.

Always fun to be tried and convicted in absentia, without regard to any highly relevant facts, though.

Castro during the 80's, will be brought up, and will not sit well with a lot of independents. Even if those positions were valid against Somoza and Batista, in this political environment, it isn't going to cut it.

The GOP machine has not even started to go after Bernie. There is no reason to until after the primaries.

They perceive Hillary as the probable Democratic nominee, and Bernie running against her in the primaries, serves their strategy because they hope it will weaken her within the party.

The tea party website you used to attack Bernie has headlines like this:

"LIBERAL NARRATIVE FAIL: Majority of Americans See Guns As Solution, Not Problem"

"It's very common in Muslim culture for granny to live upstairs from a bomb making factory & have no idea at all."

"The SAME people who've been marching on police stations & shutting down WHOLE cities ALSO say it's wrong to march on Mosques."

"Spin whatever narrative you want @Democrats. The truth on the ground in #SanBernardino is good guys with guns saved Libs from Jihadis."

"#FarooqSaeed was "living the American dream" right up until he unleashed his Muslim nightmare on innocent Americans."

"WAKE UP LIBERAL JEWS! The #SanBernardino Jihad was a MUSLIM slaughtering a Jew because he said Islam is violent. Pogroms are coming here."

"Unhinged #BlackPrivilege woman berates Hispanic McDonalds manager"

"Pious #SanBernardino jihadi "Showed no outward signs of violence" (other than his devotion to Islam of course)"

"@HillaryClinton LOVES Australia's gun laws. So what if it leaves #LGBT unarmed against their Muslim executioners!"

"Muslims slaughter people who would dare imply that Islam is a blood soaked death cult."

to "ask all candidates today about ending gun violence" they responded "You should be so ashamed. You've disgraced American Jewish community. #Apologize"

"Women in Special Forces? More like rape victim delivery service to our enemies"

"Progressive gun control is partially responsible for every death & wound AFTER the #SanBernardino Jihadis reloaded. #SittingDucks #2A"

"Obama & #progressive rhetoric demonizing Netanyahu is to blame for #SanBernardino massacre. #BloodOnYourHands" (though the wording "Koranimals" had to wait a few Tweets later)

"#SanBernardino jihad was attack on Jew in the office. I blame vicious progressive #BDS rhetoric against Israel."

"#ObamaLied #IsisThrived #AmericansDied"

"Neighbor of #SanBernardino jihadis was suspicious but didn't say anything because what if #FarooqSaeed #Ahmed was just building clocks?!"

"Muslim Tracks Down His Wife’s Rapist, Cuts Off His Penis, Eats It"

"What a shameful day for the Reformed Jewish movement. The MUSLIMS had PIPE-BOMBS!"

"Come to think of it Muslims are VERY anti-abortion but they get a Progressive hall pass for some reason."

"I'm sick of these white male NRA Republicans and their mass shootings beca... um, Sayeed Farook? Hey, let's not vilify an entire group."

"Sliver lining to #SanBernardinoTerror...More people will become gun owners. Every time an American buys a gun the terrorists lose. #2A #NRA"

"Let me guess, "lone wolf" or "not real Islam". Probably sent over the edge by #GlobalWarming or lack of jobs."

"Were the #SanBernardino shooters desperate from California drought? Damn you #GlobalWarming!"

"The moment #Progressive gun control screwed the sitting duck victims of #SanBernardino. THEY RELOADED!"

"Another gun free zone filled with sitting ducks targeted for slaughter. When do we call @TheDemocrats a terrorist organization?"

"If only 9/11 had hit an abortion clinic!"

"VIDEO OF THE DAY!! Man gets mad at White trash welfare ho's using EBT to pay for food & cash to play the lottery"

"Has Obama called in the Feds to investigate @RahmEmanuel's police debt like he has elsewhere?"

"Paris orders Jews to cancel public Hanukkah celebrations! #IslamWins"

"Democrat endorsed & supported #BlackLiveSmatter rhetoric is to blame for #JabariDean threat to kill 16 white people at #UofChicago"

"ANOTHER dead kid in Chicago who #JesseJackson won't march for because no whitey to blame. #BlackLiveSmatter little."

"The left created a toxic environment for police & white people. Their rhetoric caused Jabari R. Dean to want to execute 16 white people."

"The real victims of the #LaquanMcDonald shooting are the cops thanks to collective punishment doled out by the radical left."

"No wonder Obama doesn't support the Kurds. They're pro-Jew! ==> Kurds hold ceremony recognizing expulsion of Jews!"

"Muslim actions have turned us off to giving a crap what turns them against us!"

Now we have a whole list of Bernie supporters absolutely on record as objecting to right wing sites (even when the story is true, which is not usually the case when it's a Clinton smear).

So given that, I can now expect all of you to stop using them AND call them out when you see your fellow supporters doing it - right?

I thought it was a valuable lesson many needed to learn. Don't you agree?

Sun Dec 6, 2015, 10:52 AM
Dec 2015

I mean, come on, it's not like pointing out a hundred fucking times, that Bernie supporters have been using right wing web sites has been effective. Right?

So what better way to do it than to watch you all hoot and holler about something your side does day in and day out. You know what my impetuous was - some bullshit a Bernie poster posted from American Enterprise Institute, which is about as right wing as it gets. Not one of you said a damn thing.

And of course I had the ethics to use something that was actually true, and could be backed up by the mainstream media, including his campaign chief of staff admitting it.

If you don't want right wing web sites to get clicks all of the sudden, I suggest you be on the hunt for when Bernie peeps do it and alert on it. Because it happens here day in and day out, and not by Hillary supporters.

Sun Dec 6, 2015, 11:03 AM

You could have posted the Vermont article without linking to a tea party website.

And if you were so distressed by other's behaviour you could have posted an op about why it's unethical to link to right wing sources.

So I'm not buying either excuse.

It's obvious you're willing to get into bed with racists, homophobes and misogynists just to smear Bernie and score points on DU.

That sickening display of hypocrisy was anything but intelligent.

Enlightening, but not intelligent.

.... the alert stalking. As I have pointed out before, you all try your best to hide the truth about him with your alerts. That thread sure proved that. And then, when the Bernie crowd failed at that (3-4) they all just kept alert stalking until they got a bogus hide on an innocuous post in the thread. Just keep trying until you get a majority Bernie jury, right?

So I got to prove that point too.

But I am super glad to see your new found distaste for right wing web sites. Glad to know I can count on you from this point forward to go after those that use them. Right? LOL!

Remember, I am counting on you! Don't disappoint me now.

And though I have read here most days for 14 years, I go long stretches without posting. I know DU is super important to a lot of you, but it's just not to me. Even if his supporters hide and stalk me I will be back. It's an exercise in futility to try to silence me simply because you don't like who I support.

It sucks that that is done here, especially to people that used to think of this has a safe haven for actual Democrats, and have built relationships here. But that doesn't describe me. So while I abhor how Bernie supporters use the jury system it doesn't really mean much to me personally.

Sorry to disappoint you.
