What if there was a Draft Cheney movement?

I know that the old fart is in ill health and wouldn't even be alive save the grace of his government health insurance, but what if the Republicans troubled by the thought of having Mitt as their nominee go to their convention and Dick Cheney emerged as the candidate?

Any thoughts how an Obama vs. Cheney general election would play out? What would the debates be like? What if instead of Dick Cheney, the RNC picked Liz Cheney instead?

I'm not intending to start a conspiracy theory, but I'm certainly interested in people's thoughts. There hasn't been a Cheney thread in awhile.

It wasn't like people had just forgotten the Carter-Mondale administration. Mondale was still, even if not deserving, tainted by what had happened four years earlier. The fact he was just the VP doesn't change that, right? I mean, it'd be similar to Dan Quayle running in '96...

Not bright. But then again, Democrats were not bright in the 70s and 80s when it came to providing nationally viably presidential candidates.
