5. You are beyond what MIRT is responsible for, here's the qualifying bit

If you are a DU member with at least six months of membership, at least 1,000 posts, and proof of identity (ie. you are a Star member) then you can apply to be a member of the MIR Team. (Please note that if your Transparency page is displayed, you are disqualified from serving on the MIR Team.

4. I LOVED serving on MIRT, but I got burned out halfway through term 2

It was nice to have a place on DU where nobody was fighting and the common goal was clear

6. MIRT does an important job of keeping

spammers, right-wingers and creeps away from DU. For those who don't know, they only act on posters with less than 100 posts. Most of the people they deal with are here and gone in the same day. Many of them come back again and again.

I served a couple of terms. It was very interesting to learn about all of the malicious disrupters who show up on DU on a daily basis.

Have you seen the posts from Name Removed? No? That's MIRT at work, keeping creeps off DU. They do a great job. If you have time, volunteer. You'll be glad you did.
