You know, the ideas of the heroes we aspire to be like never belonged to them.

Pick your hero. Any one. None of them could care less about whether you remember their names. They all want their ideas to advance. They didn't sacrifice because they wanted their name on a plaque or a street or a high school. They gave what they did in hopes that we would stand up and carry their torch when they fell. Because we will all fall at some point. I only hope to be carrying a worthy torch when it is my turn and I pray that someone carries it on instead of belittling and denigrating anyone brave enough to try.
