Clinton apologizes for using the term "illegal immigrant."

Clinton also apologized for her use of the term illegal immigrants at an event in New Hampshire earlier this month. “That was a poor choice of words. As I’ve said throughout this campaign, the people at the heart of this issue are children, parents, families, DREAMers. They have names, and hopes and dreams that deserve to be respected,” Clinton said

In other words, "for the last 6 or 7 months while I have been busy pandering for votes, I forgot to stop talking in public like I do at home."

Gotcha.

No wonder her team is so desperate to smear Sanders with whatever problem they hoped the Latino community would have with him.

(Latinos in the USA are such a widely diverse group that I can't think of them as a single constituency or voting block.)

She recently returned to touting her vote to build a wall between the USA and Mexico. (That is when she used the term "illegal immigrant.&quot She has been in favor of comprehension immigration reform that punishes rather than grants amnesty. She sought to deport children refugees from Honduras and elsewhere to "send a message." And Elliot Spitzer has recently claimed that after she embarrassed herself by waffling on the drivers license issue in a debate with Obama (Obama was in favor of allowing immigrants who entered the country illegally have drivers licenses), her campaign people contacted Spitzer to tell him to make the issue go away.
Can you imagine the nonstop outrage if something like that had been revealed about Bernie? On DU it scarcely got noticed.

I honestly didn't know any of this. If I weren't in favour of Sanders already, this would drive me into the O'Malley camp.

This is not the record the Democratic frontrunner should have.
