How hilarious would this be? I think it's the perfect response!

(36,437 posts)He's already responded, in the appropriate forums. The DNC is for a laying oout of a plan and ideas, not for petty back-and-forth with imbeciles. The DNC should not acknowledge Eastwood's silliness at all. It is beneath the occasion.

Politics 101. When your opponent is squirming over something they did, ignore it. When your opponent is squirming over something you do, lather, rinse, repeat.
The RNC is squirming about the empty chair and there are thousands of minions taking them to task on it. Many are Republicans. Let them fucking stew. Ignore it.
I believe in the Snagglepuss school of political gamesmanship. Self-inflicted Bar-B-Que (they cooked their own goose); exit stage left. (Let it go.)
The DNC will take them down because they put up such an incompetent showing. Obama will say nothing about the Republicans or their nominees. But there will be surrogates at the convention who will show just how evil they are.
It will be high art. And there won't be a lie the whole week.
But there won't be any empty chairs, or anything like Clint Eastwood running off script this week.
That would be a grave error. Why don't people here understand the game? After all, this is not a school yard argument.
