Sen. Sanders was scholary and informative in his defense of socialism

...he weaved his own politics and polices effortlessly with the past liberalism of FDR and others around the world in a compelling, preemptive defense against both the impressions and attacks against his identification as a Democratic Socialist.

In his passionate defense of his own expansive, progressive initiatives, he gave new life and legitimacy to ideals which have been marginalized in many quarters by demagoguery about socialism.

It was a rare event to see Sen. Sanders talk so much about himself, and his humble and principled stands looked splendid on him. I was gratified to hear his foreign policy philosophy finally fleshed out at the end of the address (still listening). It's as rich in that proud socialist-inspired legacy of FDR as any of his economic proposals.

Overall, it was a very principled and substantive address which should provide a solid foundation for a dynamic and restorative presidency, if elected.

His run has brought an energy to the process and elevated the intellectual level above what we've seen for a long time. The Democratic Socialist has reaffirmed the roots of the Democratic Party and we should all be thankful for that.

...just for this speech.

It was definitely more than his stump speech. I hope you have an opportunity to revisit it with a transcript.

his speech. I was watching Thom Hartmann and they cut in with some coverage. From what I heard and saw was WELL RECEIVED as the audience cheered.

We will see how it gets "spinned" by Our Democratic Party and other outlets who won't give our other two candidates much coverage at all.
