Some Excerpts from Clinton's foreign [policy speech

“An immediate war against an urgent enemy and a generational struggle against an ideology with deep roots will not be easily torn out. It will require sustained commitment in every pillar of American power. This is a worldwide fight, and American must lead it.”

It’s time to begin a new phase and intensify and broaden our efforts to smash the would-be caliphate and deny ISIS control of territory in Iraq and Syria. That starts with a more effective coalition air campaign, with more allied planes, more strikes and a broader target set."

"A more effective coalition air campaign is necessary, but not sufficient, and we should be honest about the fact that to be successful, airstrikes will have to be combined with ground forces actually taking back more territory from ISIS."

"As part of that process, we may have to give our own troops advising and training the Iraqis greater freedom of movement and flexibility, including embedding in local units and helping target airstrikes."

"So the task of bringing Sunnis off the sidelines into this new fight will be considerably more difficult. But nonetheless, we need to lay the foundation for a second Sunni awakening. We need to put sustained pressure on the government in Baghdad to get its political house in order, move forward with national reconciliation, and finally stand up a national guard. Baghdad needs to accept, even embrace, arming Sunni and Kurdish forces in the war against ISIS. But if Baghdad won’t do that, the coalition should do so directly."

"Now, we should have no illusions about how difficult the mission before us really is. We have to fit a lot of pieces together, bring along a lot of partners, move on multiple fronts at once. But if we press forward on both sides of the border, in the air and on the ground, as well as diplomatically, I do believe we can crush ISIS’s enclave of terror."

"And to support this campaign, Congress should swiftly pass an updated authorization to use military force."

I hear the war drums beating and, unfortunately, I can see the planes coming into Dover again.

I asked would you be willing to have your social security cut? Absolutely not.
Your Medicare costs increased? No way.
Your taxes go up? No. I cant afford it.

Then how would you pay for it?

Her Answer. Cut welfare.

So there it is. Our way to defeat Isis is dependent on our ability to cut welfare.

Going to be a long slog if buy into the mantra of fear.

A neo-Dem or a Republican disgusted with the party's candidates?

Just curious as to how you'd define her ideology.

That welfare crap sounds pure Republican boo-boo.

I think she simply believes the rich will never pay, and she hears that entitlements have to be cut from the media, and she's not about to pay since she's barely getting by, so cutting welfare is her answer. So, yeah, I'd agree low information voter, or better a manipulated information voter. However, I think the majority of people are truly low information voters and voting out of their own perceived self interests or fear.

What surprised me is generally she's quiet and reserved and voted for Obama. She told me she likes Hilary because she seems interested in protecting women's rights and seems strong on defense in her words. In a way she doesn't care how it's paid for, she just doesn't want to pay, and believes the rich find ways to avoid paying, so when pressed put the onus on welfare to foot the bill. Nice lady, but not her finest moment.

So many people like that on all sides.

Fear, Terror, keep our noses to the grindstone in order to make a buck. We're so busy trying to make a measly buck we have no time to actually think things through or notice certain patterns.

Thanks for answering EndElectoral
