Exhausting

This probably won't contribute to anything in particular, and I know I and others have made these observations previously, but, what the heck, I'm waiting for dinner to cook.

It is so damned exhausting to read the anti-– Bernie in the anti-– Hillary posts. We know, already. Hillary is a liar. Bernie is a shouter and a gun nut. Hillary can't be trusted. Bernie is unrealistic. Hillary is owned by Wall Street and the private prison lobby. Bernie won the debate. Hillary won the debate. Hillary is up 60 points. Bernie is up 15 points. Bernie can't even win Vermont. Hillary is a carpetbagger. For crying out loud.

I'm not suggesting we sit around the campfire and sing kumbaya, but let's be realistic. Both of these candidates have been around for a long time. They are smart, thoughtful, and they both really do care about this country in ways that the right-wingers do not.

Look, I know this post won't change a damn thing. I just wanted to vent. We should be grateful to have Sanders, Clinton, and O'Malley as candidates. In contrast to the insane clown posse on the right. A reality show host, a retired doctor and pathological liar. Three candidates who strongly believe that homosexuals should be murdered, and assorted bullies, theocrats, and morons.

Just sayin'.

Primary season has always been brutal here. I rather enjoy it.

Hide thread and ignore are your friend, Remember that.

4. In nearly 12 years on the DU, this is the first time I have had to use IGNORE

And, boy, have I used it. I have over 30 people on ignore. Makes the threads a bit odd at times with the missing posts, but it is so enjoyable to not have to hear the anti-Bernie statements over and over.

Or the bashing or the anti threads. I tend not to take this place too seriously.

I have people on ignore who in all the past years, I have greatly admired and liked. I have been through the primaries before and nothing in the past IMO has been this ugly.

Very well said; during the last debate I kept thinking how fortunate our country would be if any one of those three were elected President.

Keep reading on DU about how the minimum wage should not be $20 an hour, how it's ok that the Invasion of Iraq took place, that support of a candidate of the same old is supported for telling us anything to get a vote, and that big money is what will win the election.

I am sick of it and can't wait until H> rides off into the sunset and takes all this crap with her!

12. It is. It's also the only way to get discussion around here.

I posted two separate thread over a period of 24 hours asking for answers to questions about Hillary's College Compact. The first was completely serious and full of questions I wanted to see if anyone knew the answer to. The second I intentionally made an inflammatory headline. Guess which one got responses?
