What Bernie misses in his Glass-Steagall debate points

Hillary makes good points about the "shadow banking" system. Glass-Steagall is not enough to fix the problem. As she said, you have to look at how to prevent the next crisis, not the last one, and when people like Paul Krugman have come out and said that she's got a good idea there, you don't dismiss it.

I don't understand why Bernie doesn't say something like this:

"Secretary Clinton has some good ideas there, and we should look at those. But we should be doing those kinds of things in addition to reinstating Glass-Steagall, not instead of it."

Heck, HRC has co-opted plenty of his positions. He can certainly admit she might have a few good ones of her own as well.
