Dem debate drew smallest audience of the primary season thus far...

A Democratic Party presidential debate on CBS drew the smallest audience thus far among the series of primary debates — not much surprise given its Saturday-night slot. It scored a 1.5 rating in adults 18-49 and 7.22 million viewers. By comparison, the first Democratic debate on CNN in October brought in a 3.4 rating and more than 15 million viewers.

still it got more viewers than any other program on primetime last night.

during football season. 7.22 million is really good for a Saturday night, but the Fox Business debate with the GOP drew 13.5 million viewers.

So nothing new here, just more disgust with Debbie Wasserman Schultz.

Wasserman-Schultz should be held accountable for this, but that is not going to happen. And so it goes.

Probably because Sanders wants to focus with single minded intensity on issues. Though O'Malley was a bit obnoxious - but he had to be that way to get any movement at all.

Her team is desperately trying to clean-up her 9/11 Wall Street quote this morning and it isn't working. And most telling, Hillary only appeared onstage at her post-debate party for 3 minutes and only mentioned the debate once. Compared to her post-debate party in Nevada where she gave a long speech and talked about how well the debate went.

I think O'Malley was the clear winner even with the moderator not allowing him to talk. He had the two most memorable moments of the night - his impassioned defense of immigration and calling out Donald Trump as a carnival barker and his saying that soldiers aren't "boots on the ground". Both, were emotional moments that got huge applause.

The other memorable moment was Hillary's 9/11 Wall Street gaffe. I don't think there is any way to clean that one up.

Because they are political cowards. That's why. It's as bad as republicans not wanting minorities to be able to vote. They know Hillary's only chance of winning is name recognition. Her record doesn't stand up to scrutiny. We saw that last night.

Political cowardness.

Expect debates to continue small audiences as next two are on weekends as well.

Sanders made a mistake in not agreeing to do debates outside the DNC sanctioned ones. O'Malley tried to get him to come onboard for them and now when he needs the media exposure, he won't get it.

I watched online.

DWS, the DNC and HRC have put a bad taste in my mouth. Small debate schedule...hiding the debates in bad time slots (freaking NFL playoff Sunday for the Feb debate). Im this close to not voting next fall if Hillary wins.

I have my reservations about some of her political positions and flip flops...but this sort of rigging and outright ignoring of what democrat voters want pisses me off. We want more debates, and we want people to view the debates.

I cannot support a candidate when deep down in my core I feel like the primary is being fixed. I cannot support that sort of "democracy".

And trust me, Im not alone in my sentiment. The DNC better get their act together.

That folks accusing the Dem party of trying to "fix" the debates so that Hillary is the nominee aren't facing reality. I HOPE (and this is where I could be wrong) that the Dem leadership wants the nominee to be the one who has the best chance of winning the general, be that Hillary, O'Malley or Sanders. That's what I'd like - at this point I'm probably in the O'Malley camp but I doubt he's going to be the nominee and I'll support Sanders or Hillary over any Republican, especially that "carnival barker" Trump.
