You can't win the Democratic nomination and be against Glass Steagall.

The bull she said about "wanting to do even more!" is the oldest political trick in history.

Bernie clearly hammered home the point that Hillary takes SuperPAC funds and money from Wall Street--and this is related to her being against reinstating Glass Steagall.

I mean seriously...there are Republicans who are for reinstating Glass Steagall.

She's confirmed what many all ready know--that Hillary Clinton is beholden to the corporations and that she is a politician who will serve powerful interests--including Wall Street and do absolutely nothing to break up those banks and make meaningful change in this area.

I think Clinton apologists are totally in denial about how devastating this was for her tonight.

I think Hillary realizes that she needs to attempt to do some damage control.

What a joke that this poll is most likely tainted.

So typical though.

It's all smoke and mirrors with her. She did this in 08 too. She thinks that if everyone *believes* that she is winning and that she is "inevitable* that she'll just win.

What a joke. Iowans didn't go for this in 2008, and they won't in 2016 either.

She did very well at first. She seemed to take the "I'll look Presidential" tactic, by acting stoic and measured. However, that very quickly fell apart when Sanders really went after her.

I think it threw off her prepared schtick.

"Hey! I was playing the role of commander-in-chief and now you've made me go off script!"

I thought Hillary actually did ok. And she had moments where she did some off well. However, this was Bernie's night for sure. Not just because he did well (and he did), but she seemed to be thrown off kilter and seemed to falter quite a few times.

When Bernie put the screws to her about kow towing to Wall Street and she answered with a faux patriotic, pseudo-angry response about 9/11--it was all over for her. That was stupid.

I imagine that wasn't planned. It was...a horrible response. To use 9/11 that like was the low moment of the debate for her.

Cheney would use 9/11 and the issue of terrorism to incite whatever emotion or deflection he was seeking.

It was always disheartening to see Cheney, and other Republicans, engage in these pathetic tactics--but it's especially jarring to see one of our own Democrats do this.

Stupid remark by Hillary, for sure.

It didn't even make sense, the connection Hillary was drawing between Wall Street and 9/11...as if she can't help but fill her campaign coffers with dirty money because of that tragedy.

But, not to worry, Hillary will tell her Wall Street buddies to "cut it out!" No doubt, those fat cats are shakin in their Gucci loafers over that one!

Then she goes through demographic groups naming women, African Americans, seniors, etc.

Now 100% of Bernie's donations came from individuals.

So where did the other 40% of Hilary's donations come from? Corporate donors, perhaps?

What amazed me is that people applauded this canned line of hers that 60% came from individuals, essentially meaning that 40% actually did NOT come from individuals, plus her multiple SuperPACS.

Her top donors are Wall Street Banking firms, and she became indignant about Bernie attacking her integrity? He was attacking her receiving funds from the same people she is saying she'll get tough with. Bernie was saying these people don't donate out of their goodness of their heart, but want something, access, and it makes it harder to regulate the same people who paid to get you elected.

The faux outrage by Clinton at that moment and the diversion about her integrity belied the biggest contributors to her campaign, and illustrated a very salient point that Clinton attempted to misdirect.

Those that have chimed in with HRC clearly won the debate are? Empirically, it's impossible to say definitively but good gravy you've got to be really warped to think she won that debate.

I mean if we can't even try to be objective what the fuck is the point of posting here? Again, I have my biases sure, but I would like to think I can and would concede when things are clear.

Is it that difficult to say "As a HRC supporter she slipped a few times tonight and made a bad gaffe with the 9/11 comment - it wasn't her finest showing but I still support her."

Bernie Sanders had the weakest night of the three Democrats onstage at Saturday night’s debate.
That’s according to a survey of the POLITICO Caucus, a bipartisan group of influential strategists, operatives and activists in Iowa, New Hampshire, South Carolina and Nevada, who weighed in immediately following the second Democratic primary debate.

Nearly half of Democrats surveyed said the Vermont senator lost the debate, and only 10 percent of Democrats said he won. Those insiders who said Sanders had the worst night argued that he appeared out of his depth on foreign policy a day after terrorist attacks rocked France. He spent just a few seconds addressing the matter in his opening statement before pivoting to his familiar pitch about the economy, in stark contrast to rival Hillary Clinton, a former secretary of state who devoted her entire statement to the Paris attacks.

Democratic Voters Overwhelmingly Think Clinton Won Debate; Particularly Strong on National Security Issues

A Public Policy Polling survey of Democratic primary voters nationally who watched tonight’s debate finds that it reinforced Hillary Clinton’s front runner status. Viewers overwhelmingly think she won the debate, and particularly trust her over the rest of the Democratic field when it comes to issues of national security.

Key findings from the survey include:

-67% of voters think Clinton won the debate, to 20% for Bernie Sanders and 7% for Martin O’Malley. On a related note 63% of viewers said the debate gave them a more positive opinion of Clinton, compared to 41% who said it gave them a more positive opinion of Sanders, and 37% who said it gave them a more positive opinion of O’Malley.

Iowa Focus Group: Among 33 undecided Iowans, HRC clearly wins debate by 23 to 10, and moves 11 undecided to her camp versus 3 for Sanders.
