Question: I bailed out of DU before the 2008 primaries. Got tired of it all.

When the Democratic nominee for the general election is all settled, do the DUers who picked the loosing candidate buy the winners a pizza or something to make amends? Or vice versa?

Just wondering.

Most will support the nominee and some will be so sore the will leave and the disrupt or will look for a new target.

He has illuminated a whole lot of issues that were not talked about before. The genie is out of the bottle and it's not going back in not even after we demand our three wishes.

is to not be negative and to present the issues facing the American public and to bring them to the forefront. I think that is what he is doing. If he wins, that is just icing on the cake. If not he has won anyway because the topic is no longer austerity.

Then he will win the GE. Then REPUBLICONS will sandbag him. That is when we really need to get to work when Bernie wins. He will need as much if not more support from us than he does now.

The congress critters will sense that the wind might be blowing a different direction, especially with what Koch said in Time this week.

I imagine I'll dump most of my ignore list, with a small number of permaignore exceptions, and hope that I don't have to regrow it again from continued constant negativity being tossed around.

Can't recall who I might have been on the same "side" with then who is now on the other.

Maybe that puts it into perspective. Or, as a philosopher said "In the long run we'll all be dead."

i was not super active then. if bernie wins, i will be campaigning hard in my world. if hillary wins, honestly i can not get jazzed and will focus on the downticket. if om wins i will be ok and pretty psyched about him as pres.

edit...in no circumstance will i spend time criticizing the nom, whoever it is. not because of tos but because it is not how i want to spend my time.

same about the other person. You end up saying "Oh yea, I am totally supporting Hillary" It is just that you don't end up talking their ear off. And it would be the same if the roles are reversed.
