I just marched in the largest Armistice (Veterans' Day) parade in the West - over 200 entries -

with a group of about 30 people, carrying a banner about Bernie Sanders' 2015 VFW Congressional Award. I handed out small fliers explaining Bernie's record of service and support to Veterans, asking people to take a look.

I was pleasantly surprised by the number of viewers who clapped, cheered and waved as we passed by them in this very conservative part of Oregon. This parade is a massive display of flag-waving and "patriotic" fervor in its seventh decade, and I figured our message would be a tough sell. However, the needle seems to be moving, even here in the backwaters.
