(57,349 posts)The attack by OMalley on Sanders was bad strategy. Martin OMalley is being squeezed out of the Democratic race. There isnt room for a third candidate. It is Campaigning 101. OMalley is running out of time and money. He needs to move up fast, or his campaign will be officially finished.
Bernie Sanders is liked by much of the left. He is trusted and has been honest about his views. The idea that he was disloyal to President Obama is silly. Overall, Sen. Sanders has been very supportive of President Obama. Obama and Democrats trusted Sanders with the bipartisan legislation to reform the VA.
Sanders has his disagreements with President Obama on issues like Social Security and the TPP, but he has always made it clear that he is a friend of the president who disagrees with him on policy.
The Martin OMalley campaign is virtually dead. OMalley worked for years to be the main challenger to Hillary Clinton, but his team never saw Bernie Sanders coming. From the moment that Sanders entered the Democratic primary, former Gov. OMalley has been the third wheel.
Sen. Sanders demonstrated why attacking him in a negative way will almost always backfire.
O'Malley is just trying to remain relevant.

(14,733 posts)If that's true, he's even more of a no-hoper than the polls would suggest. If he can spend years preparing for a campaign, then simply get brushed aside in passing, he's just not got what it takes.
So O'Malley's been working for years, Hillary, let's face it, has been running since 2006 or so, failed once, spent all of the time since prepping herself to have an outstanding resume. The only one who simply jumped right in from a standing start is Sanders, and despite a few bobbles, he's done pretty damn well so far.

Bernie has been proven correct in both cases. IMO

(6,960 posts)Why are you so disrespecting of a leader in the race for the 2016 nomination for the Democratic Party for President of the United States?
This only helps Repuglicans, you know.

Stick to the issues and ignore the distractions.

You just don't like the fact he lied and just keeps digging that hole deeper.
