Do some in here ever stop to think before they post

ugliness about another candidate.. Oh I know passion.. People are passionate.. But a lot of these ops are over the top ugliness just to juice up the supporters of another candidate..

It is nothing but ugly

And how the heck are you going to approach all the people you spit on if your side wins?

I have posted this before..and what I got back was .. "well don't you remember 2004?"

What the heck?

This should not be some contest on who can be the most slanderous.

7th grade playground snarks. I get tired of it. It's incredibly immature and self-defeating IMO and casts so much negativity over DU. IMO it also gives DU a bad image from the outside.

controlled by Goldman-Sachs and the billionaires. It will be hard to overcome the resources of the billionaires. Many recognize that if the billionaires win the poverty rate will continue to climb because the billionaires don't give a crap about poverty.

I understand you want to find every opportunity to promote your agenda. Sometimes it's ok to let it go just for a moment.

As Captain Kirk once so famously put it, with the help of the Organians, "We have the right to wage war!"

Kidding, of course. I wish more thought like you.

It's the "my candidate could win even if all your candidate's supporters sat out the GE" (paraphrased) nonsense and the like that bugs me.

Stuff like that is what I think of when considering your OP. Makes for some great sig lines, though.

Don't assume that the content of every post is governed by logic or good faith, though.

Whether or not this story is gospel or bs, I have zero doubt things like this have been happening for years, including on DU. They render facts, links, analysis and every other good faith technique meaningless. You may as well be doing the internet equivalent of stamping your feet.

but I think elleng deserves some kind of recognition for most tirelessly positive champion of any candidate, at least over the last few days.

Martin O'Malley is not my candidate this time around, but he's a close second, and I really like him. There's no doubt that elleng's thoughtful and informative posts have helped to shape and solidify my positive impressions of him. He will be a fine president someday, and possibly a VP contender (if offered and if accepted).

Cheers to elleng!!

Nothing anyone says to anyone in this forum is going to change their minds about whom they support. And I could not care less what anyone says about Bernie. He isn't my boyfriend, nor my father and not a friend. He's my candidate.

If posters want to rage and scream about other candidates I believe it has more to do with scoring points with their pals then anything else. And also because people like to argue on the internets. I have indulged a few times but mostly find it tedious and a waste of time.

I have bigger fish to fry in my life right now rather then to get bent because someone calls my candidate a name.

I do find it sad that some posters feel the need to target others. I think that makes DU suck.
