Kicking butt? Every candidate wants to do that.

If candidates didn't want to kick the butts of their opponents, they wouldn't be running for office, especially not for President.

So, it's a meaningless statement of fact that any candidate could make. Actually kicking metaphorical butt, though, in an election campaign, whether a primary or general, is another thing altogether. It's far from as easy to do than it seems. If you miss the target, it's entirely possible to fall on your own butt and have a painful bruise there.

That's why candidates don't usually mention their goal of kicking their opponents' butts. It's a little risky, really, especially if those butts actually go unkicked.

Still, it's just a metaphor, and a very common one at that. It deserves precious little notice, really.

True. But MOST candidates keep that little factoid to themselves. Only the inexperienced BlueCaliDem Nov 2015 #4

When the butt-kicker becomes the butt-kickee, irony abounds. Much ado about nothing, really.

It's much ado about nothing. The thin-skinnery that goes on around here on both sides is incredible.

this morning. The posting, however, must continue, regardless. Any port (or butt) in a storm that didn't happen.

Nothing to talk about? Well, create something. The quota of posts must be met. Reputations are at stake, here, dammit.

7. Whose butt hurts?

Not mine. Nor do I threaten to kick anyone's butt. It's not a wise thing to do, really. It can cause more problems than you might expect. Sometimes the potential butt-kicker becomes the kickee, and that's never pleasant.

I did have butt hurt one time though, but it was my own fault. I was on roller skates and turned my head to look behind me. My behind ended up on the ground almost immediately and a fractured coccyx was the result. Butt hurt in a serious way.

The Butt SPINS to the left, swings to the right, up and down, sideways, in a circle and even in a humping motions.

Butts are flexible, they are not limited to just being kicked but when kicked look at all the ways they can go.

I know Sanders just made a faux pas. He's inexperienced on the national stage and seems awkward when sitting one-on-one with a concentrated journalist, but I can only hope he learns from that error and won't do it again.
