2016 Postmortem
Related: About this forumPPP(D) iowa Poll-Clinton 57% Sanders 25%
Clinton is really dominating with several key groups in Iowa. Among seniors she's up 74/13 and with women she's up 61/21. She leads across the board with the various constituencies we track but it is tighter with younger voters (43/40), men (51/31), and voters who identify themselves as 'very liberal' (48/30).

(30,058 posts)Sanders spoke, it appears the senior support is going to Clinton. Thanks for your post. October gifts was McCarthy, the debate and the Benghazi testimony. Clinton's numbers started rising.

(131,076 posts)Martin O'Malley now has about 1 Iowa supporter to 3 for Bernie and 8 for Hillary. That is way better than before the debate and IDPJJ, when the polls said both Bernie and Hillary had about 40 supporters to every 1 of Martin's. Great news to start the week, but not surprising to Team O'Malley!

Hillary Clinton up big in Iowa with 57% to 25% for Bernie Sanders, 7% for Martin O'Malley, 1% for Lawrence Lessig: http://www.publicpolicypolling.com/main/2015/11/cruz-rising-in-iowa-clinton-back-out-to-dominant-lead.html
Sorry he doesn't get a big headline from whomever for this, but it's a FACT, things are moving for Martin O'Malley.

(99,711 posts)If it's any consolation if HRC wasn't in the race I would vote for Martin in a NY minute.

(131,076 posts)Just heard from 2 cyber-Friends of MO'M:
'I just made approx 20 calls into Iowa. My un-offical results are thus:
1 lean O'Malley....2 for Sanders......1 for Hillary......2 undecided and 1 cranky woman who is registered as a DEM who is going to vote for a Republican. The rest were not at home. The people of Iowa are super nice, except for that cranky woman who is registered as a DEM and who is goign to vote Republican. Ha, ha. Get fired up people...we CAN do this!'
'I'll be out there knocking on doors the end of this week!'
I just do the couch potato!!!

(14,177 posts)He deserves some recognition. He is a good guy and a wonderful representative for the party. I won't pretend I don't think Bernie is going to win, but I want him and O'Malley to have these wonderful moments where they see people coming out for them and supporting them.

(99,711 posts)His support is a mile deep and an inch wide. He's a rare acquired taste like unseasoned rice.
It's OVAH....I would literally bet my life on it.
